Shopping Vintage, Gourmet Eating, and Running in the Heat

Its been great visiting Bill and Judy Bales in Lakeway, Texas. We've been so spoiled since we got here! Arriving last Thursday, we've had a variety of homemade gourmet meals including breaded fish with wild rice, ribeye steaks with creamed corn, baby back ribs and bbq beans, chicken parmesan and black-eyed peas. After totally binging over the weekend, Garrett and I had to get our butts out running. To my surprise, I've been actually enjoying my runs instead of dreading them like back home. Its also nice that Garrett has been joining me! Although its not 'warm' in their opinion, it is to us and we come home dripping in sweat every time. I even wore a summer dress to go shopping down on South Congress Ave to browse all the vintage shops. Some shops were fun, my friend Andie would have loved them. Some shops were just too thrifty for me, smell and everything. Overall, we're having a great time so far. One more week and we have a lot of visiting left to do - baby shower on Saturday, grandparents ranch Sunday, and other long time friends to see before we go!
