Ayo Technology

A part of me wants to be old-fashioned and keep things simple. However, the last few years, I've been warming up to the fact that technology just won't let me stay in the past and is telling me to get with the times. So, with a grateful thanks for the wonderful gifts I have received, I'm finally upgrading and I think I like it. I love my new toys! Earlier this year I broke down and traded in my film SLR camera for a Digital SLR. Its not so much I couldn't leave the film behind, but I was intimidated by the chunk of cash I would be spending and the learning curve of what seemed at the time like a complicated piece of machinery. It was just my luck that the manual for the camera was written for 'dummies' and I was off and running with the thing in no time. I'm so excited, but its hard to not be 'that person' with their camera in your face all the time. I also received a Nook Color for Christmas, which is the Barnes and Noble version of the Kindle by Amazon. Its a larger, very similar version of my iPod Touch (smaller than the iPad) and its been so fun learning how to use it and having the ability to have multiple books and/or magazines with me, but not all the bulk! Thanks Technology - you really can keep things simple, I just had to figure it out for myself :) We even had our own Yule Log on Christmas Day (since it was just way too hot to have a real one).
