Free and Easy

We decided to up and go to Vegas last week to climb Red Rocks. The weather was perfect and instead of chasing shade, like we usually have to, we chased the sun! It was nice and toasty and we were able to do a bunch of climbs we haven't done before. Garrett had some proud sends - Gimme Back My Bullets (Sunny & Steep Wall), Running Man, & Fear and Loathing III (Wall of Confusion). I was climbing at my almost best sending Mr. Choad's Wild Ride and Scorpion (Sunny & Steep Wall), Under The Boardwalk (Pier), and obtaining a new project Yaak Crack (Gallery) which I felt is really do-able, but getting on it on a 5th day on, I couldn't quite hold on at the top. We also did Olive Oil on Rose Tower, a moderate multi-pitch route that I was happy to swap leads with Garrett on. I felt really good placing gear and I'm getting a lot better at it and a lot more comfortable. As always, a fantastic time in Vegas!!

"If you only get to go around one time - I'm gonna sit back and try to enjoy the ride

I could make a million or wind up broke - Free and easy down the road I go
Can't take it with you when you go so - Free and easy down the road I go
Someday I know it's gonna take me home so - Free and easy down the road I go"
