This week is marking a new beginning for me.
I'll be starting a new job on Wednesday at Calibre Engineering. I'm really looking forward to getting back to work. I have enjoyed my time off, but there is only so much you can do by yourself while everyone else is working! I'm excited to meet new people and work on new projects - new to me at least. The drive is short, and I'll be able ride my bike in less than 25 minutes if I want to!
I'm not only starting a new job, but I'm also starting a new workout plan. Its a plan that will keep running, swimming, biking, climbing and hiking fun. Lately I've felt that I haven't been improving in activities as much as I would like, and I almost have felt like a failure (I know I'm not) and getting exercise wasn't fun anymore, it was more like a chore. I didn't feel refreshed like I used to after runs and I didn't feel accomplished after long day hikes that usually I would be psyched about.
Its also time for all the fall season premieres for TV. I'm eager to find out what happens on The Office! Pam says she's letting her hair down and is already 30% more unpredictable!
I don't normally make new years resolutions. I guess this is kinda like New Years, though. I imagine that maybe this is what people feel like when every new year comes around and they can throw out the old, bring in the new, and start fresh with a clean slate as soon as the ball drops.
