Almost

It is November already and we are STILL waiting for the first snow fall here in Denver. It normally happens before Halloween, and I didn't check any records, but this Halloween had to be one of the warmest in the history of Denver (at least since I've been here). Last night it snowed in the mountains and caused road closures, however, the front range and lower elevations only received rain and drizzle. I can feel it though! Its ALMOST here! Currently, an hour and a half after getting home, I am still trying to warm up from my run after work in the cold weather.

For some reason, I have been really looking forward to the winter, which is definitely unusual, I typically enjoy the warmer weather and want fall to last forever. Maybe the hot weather was overwhelming, the hustle and bustle of summer was getting tiring, maybe its the Broncos or Nuggets seasons underway, or the ski season trying to sneak up on us. I don't know exactly why I have been ready, I just am - just sitting around waiting for change rather than making it happen. I suppose that sometimes its better to be patient and let something happen on its own, rather than force anything, not that I have any sort of power to force the first snow storm or anything ;) Patience is of essence and maybe hope will be strong enough for some change...
