Women Are From Venus

Its hunting season, so needless to say, I've been on my own for the last week or so while Garrett is out finding an elk to you know, provide me with food for the next year and further red-neck-i-fy the house. Although I do miss him, I have had so much fun spending time with the chicks! I love my girl time! It was great to see Brooke - nothing better to down a bottle of wine, catch up, and watch the Office on a Thursday night - let's get ethical ethical! Friday afternoon with Marion - always love our talks lady! Last weekend my little sister Brittany spent the night with me and then we went to the zoo for Andie's birthday. It was fun to do girl things - like making a cat toy for Andie's zigzag martini glasses and ooh-ing and awe-ing at all the freakin' cute babies at the zoo - nobody puts baby giraffe in the corner!

Tonight was Bunco night - classic good girls game night. I always love bunco night b/c its a chance to get together with friends that I may not see as often as I would like and it provides laughs and a chance to win some extra moolah. It makes me sad that this was probably only the third bunco night this year and the first one since May. I'm not sure why we can't get it together. People always say they want to play and seem to have fun every time we play, but no one makes it a priority when it is scheduled. I understand that things come up, but the attitude I feel from others is - "oh, I'll go to bunco...UNLESS something better comes along." Well, tonight it was on (like donkey kong) and we had such a fabulous group of women and we had lots of laughs, lots of cookies, and tons of fun. Thank you to everyone who made an effort to come, I had a great time and can't wait for the next girls night!
