Friendship Thoughts Part II

A friend is someone who is loyal and faithful. A person that is accepting, encouraging, and supportive no matter what decisions, changes, or mistakes are made. Someone who will stick up for you, give you advice when you need it and know when to keep quiet when you don’t. Friendship can be simple, but sometimes can be complex. It means understanding, even when you don’t like it or it doesn’t make sense. It means realizing when someone needs you and when they want to be alone. It can’t be controlling or judgmental. It needs to be respectful and thoughtful. Sometimes there will be forgiveness, because nobody is perfect, but friendship is dominantly kind and fun. There is plenty of laughter. It means sharing smiles and tears and all the calories consumed when all that will make something better is a pint of Ben & Jerry’s. Friendship is one of the most important possessions one can have and they must be cherished.

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10
