Snowed In...AGAIN

Winter Storm 2006 Round 2 - Unfortunately, this storm did not hit the ski resorts! This was definitely a huge disappointment since I was snowed in up in Breckenridge due to the I-70 closure. After two icy runs on the mountain this morning, it was back to the city where 14" of new snow - on top of the 24" that snowed last week - had fallen. I had a lot more fun shoveling and playing the first time around. Today was hard work (and no play)to have to shovel the entire driveway myself. Although I was exhausted and cursing the snow for ruining my training, there was something about seeing the work that was done and the clear driveway that gave me self satisfaction and a big sense of accomplishment. I felt strong and confident and independent. I'm thankful for this experience, this time to take a rest from my training and this time to make me feel proud.
